Visual Studio's previous designer could not handle many situations correctly. Because of this, many vendors and software development projects queried the DesignerProperties.IsInDesignMode property and selectively disabled features that Visual Studio's default Designer did not support.
You can keep this behavior, but you can also disable it so that the controls should behave as they do in production. Depending on the situation, FastWPF will support this or not.
